Why I Write

A few months ago, I was tagged by Zarine (of Maybe in Madras) for the ‘Why I Write’ blog hop. Shortly after that though, while I was still running the idea in the background of my mind, I decided to go on this self-imposed blog exile. Maybe some of you noticed but I pretty much disappeared right after I found out that I did not get through into the final 16 of the Big Blog Exchange. But I PROMISE it was not because of that, it was not sour grapes. Really.

(Before I forget, I’m tagging SurakshaTiana and Allane to take this forward)

To be honest, there has been a lot going on in my life lately, and  this period has been particularly, let’s say, eventful.

Now that better days are upon me (and my family), let me finally get back to my happy place. Why I write? If I think about it, seems that I just write when I’m either extremely happy, or extremely… Not. So this is going to be a short one. If you write, I’m sure you’ll understand what I mean when I say what I say.

I write to remember, and I write to forget.

And that is all for today. Do you write too? Tell me why… 🙂

  1. “I write to remember” : are experiences so ephemeral and insignificant – necessitating a record keeping? “I write to forget” : ?

Talk to me! :)
